It was back in 1962 that the Wagoneer first made an appearance. Based on the Jeep Station Wagon, which was manufactured after the post-war economic boom in 1946, was one of the first vehicles to be considered an SUV. The others are the Ford Bronco, Chevy Blazer, and Toyota Land Cruiser. A favorite of off-road enthusiasts and surfers, the vehicle had a respectful run until its discontinuation in 1991. Greatness can never rest for too long, and the Jeep Grand Wagoneer reemerged in 2021 to take its place as king of the hill.

The SUV for 2023
As a new model year begins, there’s much to be excited about. And nothing fuels that excitement quite like the 2023 Grand Wagoneer. No matter what rounds you’re interested in traveling upon, paved or unpaved, this vehicle was made for adventuring. Less expensive than other high-end offerings from Range Rover and Mercedes-Benz, luxury and adventure are seamlessly blended to create an SUV for all seasons. Leather-trimmed upholstery and 22-inch wheels are intriguing, and the vehicle’s 12” infotainment screen anchors the stylish interior that rivals some of the Waggoner's European counterparts. For those of you wanting to commune with your inner metalhead, upper trims have the stereo system to end all others. A 23-speaker system capable of generating 1,375 watts.
High-Class Sophistication, Rugged Performance
Don't let the posh interior and luxury interior lure you into a false sense that the Wagoneer is strictly for those who enjoy being pampered. There’s more than enough performance to indulge in your desire to embark on the road less traveled. An air lift suspension can raise the height of the Grand Wagoneer an astonishing 3.6” for elevated ground clearance. Very little will hinder your adventures with 10” of ground clearance and the ability to trade up to two feet of water. And just in case you need to take it all with you on your journey, a towing capacity that exceeds 9,800 lbs. is the capability for the modern age. A newly available engine also makes its debut for the new model year. Affectionately known as the “hurricane,” this twin-turbocharged inline-six boasts a monstrous horsepower rating of 510.
You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more impressive SUV for the upcoming year.
