Recently, Autoguide.com performed an independent review of three of the top minivans in the market; the Sienna, the Carnival, and of course, the Chrysler Pacifica. What they found was something that the folks here at Route 1 USA CDJR wanted to share with our customers and guests as soon as it was time for our next blog:
Kia Carnival
The Kia Carnival was first up to perform for the judges. While it received good marks for style and value, as well as its VIP-style middle row, there were a number of things that put it out of the running for the crown of best minivan. The reviewers found it lacked practicality (a must in any minivan), and the lack of either a hybrid powertrain or AWD could not be ignored. It ranked 3rd out of 3.
Toyota Sienna
The Toyota Sienna was next on the list. This one lacked the wow factor that both other minivans offer. However, it scored very high in efficiency and practicality. Storage nooks and cargo space galore in this minivan, but the slower acceleration is a turn-off even for soccer moms and dads. It finished 2nd out of 3.
Chrysler Pacifica
Top honors went to the Chrysler Pacifica, with luxury digs, a mature ride, and a first-in-class infotainment system. The power, third-row seating was a major advantage, as was its impressive lineup of safety assists and classy, elegant style. This led to it being named the Family Vehicle of the Year.
